This year Heart of the Country were proud to announce their partnership with The Royal British Legion on this centenary year of the Armistice with the launch of a limited edition scented sachet. This Autumn/Winter season Heart of the Country is looking to raise £36,500 for the Legion by selling 36,500 Greenleaf Painted Poppy large scented sachets.
The target of 36,500 represents every single day that has passed since the end of the Great War on the 11th of November 1918. By the end of November Heart of the Country had achieved over 75% of this target and with nine months of the campaign still to run will undoubtedly hit their target.
In September directors Ben and Toby Stubbs were invited to The National Memorial Arboretum by The Royal British Legion to help create their Centenary Field of Thanks. Early this year members of the public were invited to write a message of thanks to those who fought in battle, worked in the factories, planted the crops, nursed the injured and cared for the children.
The Legion have printed over 75,000 of these messages on weatherproof poppies which will be planted in The Field of Thanks at The National Memorial Arboretum for Remembrance Sunday. Since then Heart of the Country have sent a further five members of their team to help create the Field of Thanks.
