Shropshire based watercolour artist Meg Hawkins is set to make further waves in the giftware industry with her latest collaboration with award winning design-led gift and homeware supplier WIDDOP and Co.
2018 has seen Meg’s work awarded Best Home, Gift and Clothing Products at the glee Awards and her business Meg Hawkins Art (MHA) named Best Start Up at the Rural Business Awards.
Meg’s unique style reflects the movement and energy of the subjects she paints from her stunning rural studio in the Shropshire Hills.
WIDDOP’s Product Development Director, Stephen Illingworth, said ‘We are incredibly excited to reveal the products we’ve been working on with Meg. Her work celebrates the true beauty and majesty of wildlife. It’s totally unique and instantly recognisable, and her well-deserved success is proof of that. We are introducing Meg’s work to a collection of home and gifting items within our Country Living brand from cushions to mugs, to offer everyone the chance to own some of this beautiful art.’
Meg says, ‘I am delighted to be working with WIDDOP & Co. and their enthusiasm for my work and commitment to my brand has marked a significant development in the growth of MHA. It has been a real pleasure to design some exclusive designs for the company and I am really excited for the launch of the full range of products and designs at the International Spring Fair next year.’ The Meg Hawkins licensed collection is set to launch at Widdop’s January show, taking place between January 2nd and 23rd in their North Manchester showrooms and will be showcased to a wider audience at the Spring Fair.
