I Like Birds licence flies to The Art File

Specialist card publisher I Like Birds and The Art File announce licensing collaboration.
Nottingham-based publisher The Art File has been granted the right under the new licensing agreement to publish I Like Birds’ contemporary artwork to a new collection of greeting cards.
The Scottish-based I Like Birds previously published its own greeting cards, but following a chance meeting at Harrogate Home & Gift in July, md Stuart Cox, has handed over the reins to The Art File under a new licensing agreement. The new collection will be available to order from December 2017.
I Like Birds md Stuart Cox is over the moon with the arrangement, saying: “The Art File are proving wonderful to work with and it seems a really good fit.
“I’m delighted and even our existing stockists are getting in touch with a consistent message along the lines of ‘perfect partners’ and ‘a marriage made in heaven’.”
In connection with the brand’s success, Cox has also been been asked to deliver a presentation at the “Brands & Lifestyle Theatre” at Brand Licensing Europe next month. Entitled “I Like Birds: A Fledgling’s tale one year on from License This!”, Cox will cover the brand’s story so far, plans for its future and the challenges of being a fledgling brand in the world of licensing.
