At RHS Chelsea this year the HTA show garden, 40 Sunbury Road, was awarded a silver medal as an inspirational back garden. Fiddlehead, the miniature gardening specialists, were delighted to be asked to contribute to this garden by planting a full size shed roof with a live miniature garden. Over 100 alpines and 50 conifers were used to create a fantasy world showcasing the Fiddlehead range of fairy garden products, which was widely admired.
40 Sunbury Road was built to celebrate Peter Seabrook’s 40 years in horticultural journalism and was intended to show what can be achieved in a small space to create a child friendly garden full of imagination. Miniature gardening, or fairy gardening, is a fast growing pastime which engages adults and children alike, and brings a younger audience into gardening. Fiddlehead is one of the leading fairy garden brands, supplying over 200 products to independent retailers in the UK, Europe and USA.
