Dreamtex has been awarded Gold in the Bizziebaby product awards for its National Geographic Ocean Life recycled duvet set and commended for its commitment to creating environmentally friendly bedding and educating children about recycling.
The parenting review website said their product testers could not fault the National Geographic bedding and congratulated Dreamtex on achieving its 2020 Gold Award after each family gave top scores when considering factors such as design, comfort, quality and value for money.
With each National Geographic duvet containing up to 12 recycled bottles with the use of unique, ethical material Repreve®, parents were impressed by the softness of the fabric, the ease of washing, the recycled packaging and the important educational message behind the sea creatures design. One Mum commented how the ocean facts on the reversible duvet set had triggered conversations about recycling and protecting the environment with her child, whilst another parent added “This is a fabulous duvet set. I love the fact it is made from recycled bottles and it was a good talking point before bed with my daughter.”
Reacting to news of the Gold award, Anthony Duckworth, Dreamtex Managing Director, says “We are delighted to receive such positive consumer feedback from Bizziebaby’s testers and to hear how our Ocean Life bedding design is inspiring young children to think about how we can all do more to save our oceans. Our partnership with Repreve® and National Geographic has been so well supported by our retail customers, and to now see how enthusiastically families are reacting to our ethical approach and to be winning awards, it really does make all the hard work worthwhile.”
Dreamtex continues to enjoy industry recognition for its National Geographic sustainable home textile collection and is a 2020 Licensing International Excellence Awards nominee in the Best Licensed Home Décor Product category and a Finalist in the Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards for Best Brand Licensed Home Décor range. In another move to show its commitment to ethical practice, Dreamtex is also an event sponsor for the Sustainability In Licensing Conference, taking place in November.
